Tea can be a natural vasodilator. Vasodilators lower blood pressure by expanding the blood vessels so that blood flows more easily. Vasodilators are a standard part of the western medical protocol for lowering blood pressure.
If you love spicy tastes, you might try cayenne tea. Cayenne is a natural vasodilator. Many herbalists and some doctors say it is the capsaicin in cayenne that contributes to circulatory health.
You can make a cup of pure cayenne tea by dissolving cayenne pepper or a tincture of cayenne in boiling water. Or you can add a bit cayenne to your favorite oolong tea or green tea for a spicy treat.
Other capsaicin sources: chipotle, jalapeno, habenero.
